Bangor Area Comprehensive Transportation Systems (BACTS) is developing a Penobscot Climate Action Plan to help strengthen the Region's economy and infrastructure in the face of a changing climate. Their goal is to engage and collaborate with eleven communities within the Penobscot Region in Maine so that residents can provide their input on potential initiatives. Designing a bold and custom project brand will help the residents quickly identify the Project.

Brand Descriptors: Community + Resilient + Sustainable

Exploring Ideas. The client felt the brand should reflect the eleven communities and local natural environment features, specifically the waterways. We developed a brand board and several logo options and presented them to the client.

Creating Solutions. The final logo includes eleven rain drops to represent each community. The circular shape symbolizes community and unity while the trees and waterways reflect the natural environment.

Connecting People. The brand toolkit includes a suite of logo variations; report, PowerPoint, and social media templates; and a brand guide that outlines logo usage, color palette, and font options. This identity system sets the client's program apart from other similar efforts within the State.
